What do I need to know about tumbler hire?

Tumblers are straight glasses, with a heavy base to prevent being tipped over. The taller versions of these glasses are called hi-ball tumblers and typically come in a size of 12oz or 300ml. These glasses are commonly used for water, but can also be used for soft drinks, beer or cocktails. The smaller versions of these glasses are called lo-ball and tend to be wider in diameter. They are particularly used as whiskey glasses and are normally in 7.75oz and 11oz sizes.

Do I need to clean my tumbler hire before it is collected?

Did you know that the time most glassware gets broken while on hire is when it's being cleaned?

To prevent breakages, we have made it compulsory for all glassware items to have the send it back dirty option added at checkout. The only thing we ask our customers to do is to make sure all glassware is free of liquids and any food debris before repacking it ready for collection.

How does delivery of water glass hire work?

All of our tumblers for hire are cleaned and checked prior to dispatch. We use specialised crates to ensure our glasses reach you in perfect condition. However, damage in transit does sometimes occur and we always recommend ordering a few extra tumblers than needed to allow for that.
