Tablecloths

Getting the right linen is important to set the tone of your event. Choose your tablecloth hire by size, shape or colour with ease with our helpful guide.

Linen hire is probably the most important aspect of any event when it comes to aesthetics. Most people rent linen to dress tables for big events like weddings and banquets; however any occasion where banqueting tables will be used will almost certainly require the use of linen.

Getting the sizing right is probably the trickiest part of hiring linen, particularly if a customer has never done it before. We’ve used our experiences to help make this a painless process as possible.

Every linen product page has details on it with what table the linen is most suitable for. We’ve also added linen recommendations to all of our banqueting table pages so you can work out from there which linen you need to hire to get the best result.

What do I need to know about tablecloth hire?

Most linen hire is measured in inches, so it’s important to measure your tables in that format before choosing what you need. Remember to include a bit for the “drape” between the table-top and the floor – the standard banqueting table is 30 inches tall.

Table linen is either square, rectangular or circular. With most tables it should be intuitive what to choose, but for oval tables we recommend the larger rectangular pieces of linen while smaller circular tables normally have a square tablecloth.

Runners and sashes will add an accent of colour to your table and chairs if you don’t want to go overboard, while napkins make a classy accompaniment.

What do I need to know about cleaning tablecloth hire?

Before we send out our linen hire, we ensure it is all professionally laundered and pressed ready for delivery. To do this requires industry-specific machinery, which means we cannot expect our customers to launder linen before we come to collect it.

For this reason, we include the send it back dirty service in our linen hire price. All we ask of our customer is that when readying linen for collection, that it is repacked dry and free of any food debris in the bags that it was shipped in. Linen which is wet or has attached food debris when it is returned is much more likely to be unable to be cleaned, and we have to charge replacement fees for any damaged or destroyed linen.
